A Brain Fix
Philippians 4: 6-9 NLT
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”
Paul probably didn’t intend to create a 7 day tool to dismantle the brain chemistry of worry when he composed these verses.
I have found this simple, daily refocus to be meaningful.
Start with a daily prayer. Tell the Lord everything you need. Tell Him what you’re worried about. Be specific, transparent and vulnerable. Next, spend time telling Him who & what you’re GRATEFUL for. Now, allow yourself to sit in the peace He shows you. Now, here comes the THRPLAP!

HONORABLE = Tuesday
RIGHT = Wednesday
PURE = Thursday
LOVELY = Friday
ADMIRABLE = Saturday
PRAISEWORTHY = Sunday
